Jublo’s founder and MD, Joshua Atkins, was put ‘on the spot’ by the team at our regional newspaper recently. In case you missed his quick-fire Q&A with our friends at the Yorkshire Post, you can catch up below.

What was your first job?

I worked in a computer shop in Leeds when I first left school.

If you weren’t in your current position what would you be doing?

Probably working as an electrician – assuming I hadn’t gone down the IT and software development route.

What was your worst mistake?

Not taking the plunge and starting my own business earlier.

What is your ideal day away from the office?

It would have to be in the ‘great outdoors’. I’d start off by hiking for a couple of hours before ending up in a cosy pub with great beers and plenty of food.

Name one person you would most like to have dinner with and why?

Elon Musk – I find his determination quite inspiring.

What was your best subject at school?

It sounds obvious, but IT and physics.

What are your hobbies?

Going to a gig with a couple of my friends – I absolutely love watching live music.

What would you do if you won the Lottery?

Linked to the above, I would buy live music venues and turn them into community centres when they aren’t being used for performances.

What’s your favourite item of clothing?

A good pair of jeans – they are an absolute wardrobe staple.

What is your favourite time of day?

The evening. It’s a good time to switch off from work, put the phone to one side and either relax or socialise with my friends and family.

What would you like your epitaph to be?

I’d like my ashes to be put into a firework and to go out with a bang – literally.
