After a brief hiatus, we’re back with Week 3 of #BuyLeeds #ByJublo and excited to show you one of our favourite eateries in Leeds:
Little Bao Boy
Our lunchtime go-to, the Asian street-food vendor based in North Brewing Co’s Taproom venue is no secret to the locals of Leeds.
Little Bao Boy’s buns are unmatched - fluffy and light with your choice of filling; from Beef Brisket to Pulled Pork and veggie options including Beer-Battered Cauli and Chilli Salt Tofu. The rest of the menu is also sure to please; including steamed gyozas and loaded fries.
Their story is a great one. The owner, James, grew up with an English mother and Chinese father and talks about how his packed lunches at school included fresh bao buns with rich meat and fresh veg (the other kids must’ve been so jealous). After moving away for University, he begged his Grandma for the family recipe, and started making them for his friends. Soon, Little Bao Boy was born. Their offering is hand-made and authentic - Chinese delicacies with a hint of Western influence.
Whilst Tier 3 restrictions remain in place, they're operating Thursday-Sunday from 12-8pm offering takeaways to collect or get them brought to your door with Deliveroo, but be sure to visit when they reopen - the atmosphere in here is great and the staff are really friendly.
