Tracklog EVO

Bringing live fleet-management information and operational workflows into a mobile application built for managers away from the desk.

Project overview

Extending the Tracklog platform into a mobile experience for day-to-day fleet operations.

Tracklog EVO was created to give fleet managers and supervisors access to key operational information without requiring them to be sitting at a desktop workstation.

The application brings together live vehicle data, fleet status, driver and journey information, alerts and other operational workflows within a mobile-first interface connected directly to the wider Tracklog platform.

Jublo designed and built the application around the realities of managing fleets on the move, adapting dense operational information for smaller screens while retaining the depth users expect from the wider Tracklog ecosystem.

The challenge

Fleet operations do not stop when a manager leaves their desk.

The desktop Tracklog platform provides significant operational depth, but fleet managers also need timely access to important information while moving between sites, vehicles and teams.

Dense operational information

Live data, journeys, drivers, alerts and vehicle information needed to remain useful on a much smaller screen.

Mobile context

Managers often need quick answers rather than the full workflow available within the desktop platform.

Mobile context

Information needed to remain closely connected to the live Tracklog platform rather than becoming a disconnected mobile snapshot.

Real-time updates

Vehicle, driver and fleet information had to remain consistent across desktop and mobile products.

Fast navigation

Users needed to move quickly between fleet-level information and individual vehicles without complex navigation.

Continued evolution

The application needed to support new operational capabilities as the wider Tracklog platform continued to develop.

Our role

Reframing a complex fleet platform for mobile use.

Jublo worked across product design, mobile UX, application engineering and integration with the wider Tracklog platform.

The work was not simply about shrinking desktop screens to fit a phone. We identified the information and actions most useful to fleet managers while away from a desk and structured the experience around those mobile contexts.

That meant simplifying navigation and information density while preserving access to the live operational data users depend on.

Our approach

Good technology starts before the first line of code.

Prioritise what matters when the user only has a small screen and a few seconds.

01

Identify

Understand which desktop workflows and information are most valuable to managers while mobile.

02

Prioritise

Understand which desktop workflows and information are most valuable to managers while mobile.

03

Connect

Use the Tracklog platform and APIs as the shared source of operational information.

04

Simplify

Design mobile-specific navigation and presentation rather than compressing desktop layouts.

05

Extend

Continue adding functionality as customer requirements and the wider platform evolve.

What we delivered

Built on trust.

A mobile extension of the Tracklog fleet-management platform.

The outcome

Fleet information available wherever operational decisions happen.

Greater mobility

Managers can access important fleet information without returning to a desktop workstation.

Connected products

EVO operates as part of the wider Tracklog ecosystem rather than as an independent application.

Focused mobile experience

Operational information is presented around mobile context instead of replicating desktop complexity.

Room to evolve

The application can continue expanding as new mobile fleet-management requirements emerge.
